TENANT UTILITY INFORMATION SHEET

All utilities must be placed into tenant’s name and verified at the time of lease signing.

No keys will be issued if verification is not complete.

Water / Trash Service:

The water/trash in this area is generally serviced by the city where your new rental is located. You need to call the City Water Department and identify yourself as the future tenant, tell them when you plan to move in; they will provide you with the property steps needed to proceed. This bill will come each month to the property address and be billed to “Current Resident”. You are responsible for this bill from your move in date until your move out date or end of lease term date. If the first month's rent was prorated, please send your assigned property manager a copy of the water bill so they can prorate the owner’s share.

Gas/Electric Service:

All gas/electric service in this area is serviced by Southern California Gas & Southern California Edison. Prior to coming into our office to sign your lease you must contact the Gas Co. & the Electric Co. – if the turnaround time is short, they will schedule to put the home in your name on the –first available date. It might be a few days after you call.

Irrelevant of the date service is placed into the tenant’s name, the utility company will give you a confirmation number that you will write down and give to Ace Property Management when you sign the lease. This name change for service can be done as early as 30 days before your move in date and you can schedule it to be effective on your move in date. You are responsible for this bill from your move in date until your move out date or end of lease term. If your first month’s rent was prorated, please send your assigned property manager a copy of this bill so they can prorate the owner’s share.
